The three most intelligent Temal species became expert in worldgating technology over the course of their history, and were among the founders of the first version of the intragalactic Interconnect Project, dedicated to the rafting of threatened species from their doomed worlds to others which could safely accomodate the refugees. The Temalti were themselves rafted out-system when Alterf became unstable prior to its collapse.
Many of the Temalti settled later in the neighborhood of Rirhath B, where their technology was adapted, improved, and incorporated into the Crossings, now the headquarters of the Interconnect Project management redistribution team. (AWOM)
