Envelope

(Also "body" or "prime / master circle".) The main enclosure of a spell diagram. The envelope normally contains (or has attached to it via ligatures) the limiter statements which keep the structure and operation of a spell isolated from the structure of spacetime around them, and the Wizard's Knot is usually used to complete it.
