Kelvin Seamounts

The undersea mountain chain off the North American coast of which Caryn Peak is an associated feature.

Since DW was written in the early 1980's, there has been a change of terminology among oceanographers, and this chain is now routinely referred to as the New England Seamounts. (DW)
