One of several terms in the Speech for the antihorizon of a white hole -- the interface between the external universe and the "inside" of the white hole, from which matter is emitted. In SYWTBAW, Fred remarks that his gnaester hurts. (And so would yours, if you'd been emitting the kinds of things he had.)

(The term is more casual than llatemn or eistel.)
