Young Wizards series

A series of young adult novels which began publication in the early 1980's. The novels (in order of publication, with first-edition publication dates) are:

• So You Want to Be a Wizard (1983)
• Deep Wizardry (1985)
• High Wizardry (1990)
• A Wizard Abroad (1993)
• The Wizard's Dilemma (2001)
• A Wizard Alone (2002)
• Wizard's Holiday (2003)
• Wizards at War (2005)
• A Wizard of Mars (coming in April 2010)

The series is open-ended, with no scheduled end point, and DD has indicated that she will continue writing Young Wizards books for the foreseeable future. Book 10 of the series is under contract and in progress, but its title has not yet been announced. Book 11 has been plotted, but is not yet under contract.

There are also three books for adult readers in the same universe:

• On Her Majesty's Wizardly Service / To Visit The Queen
• The Big Meow
