Wizardry in general.

Also (more specifically and somewhat more rarely), wizardry practiced as an art form, for its own sake rather than for any specific practical purpose. (Though this concept may seem tautological at first, there are many wizards who practice wizardry in this mode in their spare time. Their work partially overlaps with that of wizards researching the theory of wizardry itself, or investigating and seeking to improve the way spells are constructed and cast.) Some of the most famous wizards have worked in this mode.
