A famous seafood restaurant located on the lower level of Grand Central Terminal. The Oyster Bar is Urruah's preferred dining spot in midtown Manhattan.

The restaurant's full proper name is the Grand Central Oyster Bar and Restaurant. It opened on its present site in 1913, causing an immediate sensation because of the beauty of its Guastivino arches and tilework. It remained in operation for many years until a business downturn in the late 1950's closed it: but it was refurbished and reopened in the 1970's and has remained open ever since (except for a brief closure in 1997 to repair damage from a fire.) The Oyster Bar is the Terminal's oldest business, a New York institution for fish fans, and a much-loved meeting place. Even the outside of the restaurant is slightly famous, as the outer archway is a half-"whispering gallery".

The restaurant features a large main room (to the left of the entrance) and a smaller, cozier Saloon on the right side. Also to the right of the entrance is the Oyster Bar proper, a space specializing in shellfish of the East Coast and the rest of the world.

The back of the Bar has a window that opens onto the hallway outside, so that passing commuters can pick up a few oysters and a drink for their ride home. Urruah apparently has a flexible and friendly relationship with the bar's counter staff, who frequently sneak oysters to him out the window. (TBONWM)
