Wizardly leakage

A blanket term ( Sp. elelethaimre't) for unforeseen effects or aftereffects of high-power or long-term wizardries on the environment around them: especially used when referring to effects on life forms in the area, though also sometimes implying changes in (theoretically) inanimate objects.

The effect has sometimes in the past been associated with areas where an unusually high number of wizards have been active over a prolonged period, or with the presence of a group of new wizards still in the process of settling into their post-latency power levels after Ordeal. In TWD, Kit goes to Tom and Carl for advice concerning Ponch's peculiar abilities and is told that wizardly leakage may be at the bottom of the situation. (SYWTBAW et seq.)
