Abstainee

A wizard from whose Ordeal the Lone Power has abstained: so that the wizard in question either does not meet the Lone One while solving whatever problem requires his/her attention, or does not have an Ordeal at all.

The second kind of Abstainee is far rarer that the first...and the first kind is rare enough: right now, galaxy-wide, there are thought to be only eleven wizards who qualify for this unusual distinction. One of them is Mamvish. (WH et seq.)
