Ehef

A feline wizardly Senior for mid-Manhattan. He is described in TBONWM as a green-eyed Russian Blue, and as being about a hundred and sixty moons old, or about thirteen years. Before his Ordeal, Ehef was a stray -- a "cull" dumped on the lower West Side by an irresponsible breeder -- and for his first couple of years of life he made his home on the West Side docks, among the junkies and the smugglers. After becoming a wizard, though, Ehef found his way to the New York Public Library, where he took up a post as resident mouser in the stacks. When not engaged in advising less-senior feline wizards, he works on the ongoing project to "port-in" the information held in the Book of Night with Moon to the NYPL's online catalog, CATNYP.
