Freeport
Incorporated village on the South Shore of Long Island in the state of New York: the second largest village in the state, with a population of approximately 45,000. It serves as one of a number of South Shore bedroom communities for those working in New York City and elsewhere in Nassau County. (Click here for a live Google map)
Freeport is also the closest large town to the part of Hempstead where Nita and Kit live.
