Demiurge

In some human belief systems, a deity (or sometimes the deity) responsible for physical creation. (See the Wikipedia entry on the term for a much fuller discussion of the term.)

The term is also sometimes used to describe a creator-power working under the auspices of another greater power responsible for the entirety of the universe. This is the way in which the Powers that Be describe their role in the YW novels: especially the most outspoken or forthcoming of them, the [One's Champion]] or Michael Power.
