(Also known as "the Meadowbrook" or "Meadowbrook State Parkway") A north-south Long Island highway originally built starting in the 1930's to facilitate access to Jones Beach and take some of the pressure off the Wantagh Parkway just to the west.

The Meadowbrook Parkway runs close to Nita's and Kit's homes in Hempstead, passing about an eighth of a mile away from the eastern boundary of their high school's grounds. A wooded spot inside the northeastern lobe of the Meadowbrook's exit M6W-E cloverleaf exchange with the Southern State Parkway is where Kit was constructing a spell when the local trees tipped Nita off to his presence there.
