The proper name of the Master-Shark at the time Nita and Kit become involved in the re-enactment of the Song of the Twelve. Nita promptly shortens this to "Ed."
When they first meet, Ed is working the turbulent waters off Montauk Point, his preferred feeding grounds. But it later becomes plain that his range is far wider.(DW)
