A weapon first forged on Earth in the depths of time by the Powers that Be, and reforged in recent times. (AWAB) The Spear was originally associated with the Michael Power or Winged Defender, but later turned to other uses. (WAW) In Irish myth it was associated with the ancient Spear called Luin, also called the Spear of Lugh. The Spear was forged to be a vessel of one of the Essential or [[Cardinal Virtues], and as such the Spear should itself probably be considered sentient.
