One of the Checker cabs that prowl the streets of the Dark Manhattan.
These are constructs created by the Lone Power, and display Its pet universe's hatred for genuine life as well as a marked taste for blood. A pack of vampire cabs, led by the King cab that attacked Kit, hunt Kit, Nita and Fred down Fifth Avenue and trap them against a building there, with near-fatal consequences. (SYWTBAW)
